PR Newswire Batter Up - See Your Favorite Major League Baseball Team Play In Puerto Rico This Season MLB Joins Puerto Rico's Many Diverse Island Attractions March 11, 2003 SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico, March 11 /PRNewswire/ - Visitors traveling to Puerto Rico this year will need to pack one more item - their favorite baseball cap! From April through September, the Montreal Expos will play 22 home games at Hiram Bithorn Stadium in San Juan. Now, in addition to the many diverse activities Puerto Rico offers - from watersports and pristine beaches, to adventure excursions and exotic dining - travelers can see regular season MLB games in the relaxing tropical paradise of Puerto Rico, the closest U.S. tropical island. MLB's plan to bring games to Puerto Rico gives fans the chance to take the ultimate, fun-filled tropical road trip to see their favorite team. The New York Mets (April 11-14), Atlanta Braves (April 15-17), Cincinnati Reds (April 18-20), World Champion Anaheim Angels (June 3-5), Texas Rangers (June 6-8), Florida Marlins (September 5-7) and Chicago Cubs (September 9-11) will all square off against the Expos on the island this season.
