CARIBBEAN BUSINESS TransMeridian Airlines to fly Orlando-San Juan / Orlando-Aguadilla By AUGUSTO DURAND April 7, 2005 TransMeridian Airlines will begin direct service between Orlando Sanford International Airport and San Juan and will also include flights between Orlando Sanford and Aguadilla. Starting May 27, TransMeridian will initiate nonstop seasonal service between Aguadilla and Orlando Sanford. The flights will operate on Mondays and Fridays with one-way fares starting at $89. The schedule will include leaving Orlando Sanford at 11:15 a.m. and arriving in Aguadilla at 2 p.m. Departures from Aguadilla will be at 3:15 p.m., arriving in Orlando Sanford at 6 p.m. The equipment used will be a Boeing MD-80 accommodating 16 passengers in first class and 134 in coach. First-class upgrades can be purchased for an additional $50 each way. Starting May 13, the carrier will begin its summer schedule of up to 10 nonstop flights per week between Orlando Sanford and San Juan, with fares starting at $89 one-way.
